A large number of sustainability reporting frameworks and certificates for buildings are out there. Introducing the EU taxonomy and its indicators for new and existing buildings has been a step towards unification and simplification. In practice, however, the real estate sector was overwhelmed by the complexity and depth of the system.

The digital platform arkinovo helps building owners and consultants document data points on energy efficiency, material usage and climate change adaption as part of becoming EU taxonomy compliance.

Within the module arkinovo ANALYSE the current progress of a buildings compliance process can be quickly estimated. As data source the Software supports both the automated data extraction from documents like energy performance certificates (EPC) as well as complementing missing information by asking the user clear and concise questions, balancing deep regulatory requirements with a clear user experience.

arkinovo KONFROMITÄT provides an actiable interface for keeping track of documents and proof necessary for getting a report aknowleding the EU taxonomy compliance. Based on uploaded documents the final report could be generated right inside the platform.

The comprehensive regulatory definition of the EU taxonomy was transfered into an abstract data model. Modeling the compliance criterion as a tree structure allows the system to only ask for essential information on the building. The data model was designed with other sustinability reporting standards (such as QNG or DGNB) in mind allwoing an easy extensibility of the platform.
